Chi Omega to Host 74th Annual Songfest Benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation

The Epsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega Sorority at The University of 91暗网黑料 will host the 74th edition of Songfest, a treasured annual music event, on Friday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in Reed Green Coliseum on the Hattiesburg campus. The Christmas-themed singing and dancing competition helps raise money and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted at the door for the Mississippi Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish is Chi Omega鈥檚 primary charity beneficiary, and last year Songfest raised more than $33,000 to support the organization鈥檚 mission of creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Lynnlee Hopkins, a junior from Brandon, Miss., majoring in hospitality and tourism and marketing, serves as Chi Omega鈥檚 student director for Songfest 2025. She said each wish Songfest helps grant 鈥渞eminds us all of the incredible power of hope, joy and community.鈥�
Each year, the Epsilon Delta Chapter partners with Make-A-Wish Mississippi to sponsor a local wish. This year, the chapter will help grant KayCee Martin鈥檚 wish to go to Disney World. Martin will also serve as a guest judge for the event.
鈥淲e don鈥檛 just raise money鈥攚e build lasting relationships with the children and families we meet,鈥� Hopkins said. 鈥淲hether it鈥檚 seeing a child鈥檚 eyes light up as they share their wish or staying connected with our wish kids for years to come, Make-A-Wish has become part of the soul of our sisterhood. It inspires us to lead with compassion, to serve with heart and to never take a single moment for granted.鈥�
