The Epsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega Sorority at The University of 91做厙窪蹋 will host the 74th edition of Songfest, a treasured annual music event, on Friday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in Reed Green Coliseum on the Hattiesburg campus. The Christmas-themed singing and dancing competition helps raise money and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted at the door for the Mississippi Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish is Chi Omegas primary charity beneficiary, and last year Songfest raised more than $33,000 to support the organizations mission of creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Lynnlee Hopkins, a junior from Brandon, Miss., majoring in hospitality and tourism and marketing, serves as Chi Omegas student director for Songfest 2025. She said each wish Songfest helps grant reminds us all of the incredible power of hope, joy and community.

Each year, the Epsilon Delta Chapter partners with Make-A-Wish Mississippi to sponsor a local wish. This year, the chapter will help grant KayCee Martins wish to go to Disney World. Martin will also serve as a guest judge for the event.

We dont just raise moneywe build lasting relationships with the children and families we meet, Hopkins said. Whether its seeing a childs eyes light up as they share their wish or staying connected with our wish kids for years to come, Make-A-Wish has become part of the soul of our sisterhood. It inspires us to lead with compassion, to serve with heart and to never take a single moment for granted.
